Malibu Occult was one of a handful of esoteric 'metaphysical' stores in Los Angeles during the early 1970s. Along with stores like the Solar Lodge's The Eye of Horus (opposite the USC campus) they not only supplied Los Angeles' fringe groups and secret societies with books, supplies and ephemera, they were also frequented by famous writers, artists and musicians who dabbled in magic.
